A journal article was recently published in the Investigative and Clinical Urology Journal titled "Lessons Learned from 12,000 robotic radical prostatectomies: Is the journey as important as the outcome?". This article analyzes Dr. Patel's experiences completing 12,000 robotic radical prostatectomies. The lead author was previous GRI Fellow, Dr. Sung Gu Kang. This article discusses Dr. Patel's experiences performing 12,000 surgeries in regard to positive surgical margin, continence, potency and technical principle.
